I never used a burr grinder before and will never use one again. It is too high maintenance for my taste. I bought this for our office use and want to return it for one that just grinds the coffee. This $50.00 coffee grinder clogs up where the grounds come out. The plastic ground coffee receptacle is difficult to use because the top is not connected, so the top falls into the container, it falls off, etc.
I am reviewing my options as to whether I buy another one and try it or go to a different brand. So I returned it. I loved this grinder when we opened it and it worked really well. But the second time we used it, it started smoking and stopped working.

However no matter how careful I am there are coffee grounds everywhere when I remove and empty the hopper.
The feature of selecting amount of grounds to grind and kind of grind was nice, but for a household that drinks a lot of coffee, this grinder is NOT the one to have. Then after awhile, I had to take a butter knife and clean out the little hole where the grounds came out because it became clogged and stopped running. This coffee grinder is a piece of junk. There were more grounds scattered all over my counter than in the little cup holder.
The only real issue is that it is pretty loud for early morning use, but then again most grinders of this type are loud. I think this is a very good bargain for a burr grinder.
